My Career Motivations
The profession of dentistry is wonderful. I’ve seen over and over how my interaction with a variety of people, and their ensuing dental treatment, has changed lives. From overcoming their fears of seeing the dentist, to helping them become healthier, happier, and more confident, each person benefits from the care I deliver.
I love finishing a procedure with a patient, especially one who has dental anxiety, and having them remark on how much easier it was then they’d imagined. Dentistry today offers so many treatment options: I’m able to develop custom approaches to each person’s needs, and ensure that their treatment is truly painless.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a dentist is caring for a diverse group of people. Because no two people are alike, I am constantly challenged to learn and strengthen my skills and how I approach their care. I love that my patients trust me to do what’s right for them, and am humbled by that responsibility.
Education and Continuing Education
I keep up with all aspects of dentistry and stay current with my education in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. By taking continuing education courses, I am always up to date on the latest technology and treatments, which allow me to serve my patients’ overall oral health better. By continuing to educate myself, I feel I am prepared to do the best dentistry possible for my patients.

Away from the Practice
I grew up in southwestern Michigan and have lived in Commerce Township for more than 25 years. I have a wonderful family that includes my wife and two sons. My older son lives in the mountains of Colorado and my youngest son is now a proud member of our staff here at Dental 1.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling. I prefer combining destinations with my favorite sports of snow skiing, golf, and snorkeling.
By the way, I’m an avid U of M football fan!
